Welcome to Selwyn Lake Outfitters, located in pristine northwestern
Ontario, 150 miles west of Thunder Bay, and 20 miles into the wilderness
from Hwy. 17. Enjoy the tranquility and isolation of being the only
resort on Selwyn Lake, where the call of the loon prevails after the
generator is shut down for the evening. Enjoy the atmosphere by the
fireplace in the main lodge with our American plan consisting of home
cooked meals and pastries. For those who prefer to cook, our rustic
housekeeping cabins have everything you need to prepare your food. A
central shower house is available to everyone.
BEAR HUNT:
- Hunts are by gun or archery
- Dates are Aug. 15-22, Aug. 23-30, Sept. 1-7, with baiting started 6
weeks prior
- Our bear management area is exclusive to our camp and covers 600sq.
kilometers
- This is our 20th year of outfitting for hunting and fishing, with many
satisfied, successful, return guests

- Additional cost for trophy fee, license, and export permit
- Use of boat and additional cost for gas and motor
MOOSE HUNT:
- Tags are limited and are for bulls only, so contact us for
availability
- Week hunts for archery only starting on Sept. 25th
- The area hunted is vast, with both vehicle and boat used for
transportation

FISHING:
- Some of the finest walleye and northern pike fishing in the area
- Part of the English River system with the river flowing through Selwyn
Lake and to the north for 20 miles of great fishing without a portage
- Numerous outer lakes accessible with short portages
- 14ft. flat or v-bottom boats for rent with new 4-stroke 15hp Mercury
motors
- Minnows and gas for sale
- Stay in rustic housekeeping cabins equipped with electric
refrigerator, lights, and gas cook stove
- A central shower house
